Enemy of Death - on location in North Carolina
12/07/23 — Last month, Camille spent two weeks shooting a short film, Enemy of Death, in Goldsboro, NC. Originally from central NC, it was a pleasure to be back to enjoy the glorious fall weather and work with students from East Carolina University’s School of Art & Design on this project! Set in the 1950s in a small Southern town, the film features Ruth (Camille Martine), a newcomer who moves into her late grandmother’s home and begins to suspect a local religious movement sweeping the town as responsible for her death. Shot in Old Waynesborough Park, it features many historic buildings including a former Quaker Meeting house from the 1800s and an old one-room schoolhouse. Eery, subtle, and suspenseful, this film is sure to surprise you at the end! Stay tuned for updates regarding its release.
Playing ‘the most famous woman in the world’
In May 2023, Camille took the stage at The Chain Theater in Manhattan in a new one act play by William Jack Sibley, Rain/Princess Elizabeth/Malta as the young Princess Elizabeth II. Under the direction of John DeBenedetto, Camille and Geoffrey Grady brought this imagined encounter between a lonely Maltese shopkeeper and the princess—known at one time as ‘the most famous woman in the world’—to life.
“Camille was fantastic! She went above and beyond to bring authenticity and superior acting chops to the role of Elizabeth. An excruciatingly demanding role and she pulled it off thoroughly!””
